that pig looks fake.
My 95 year old great grandmother is in the ICU right now hemorrhaging. They haven't figured out what's wrong yet. As of last night she'd lost a few units of blood. We were having a big bday party for her this weekend. Now it's obviously called off. She's my last living great-grandparent.
I've also been going through hell with my insurance company over referrals. It took a while but I finally have an appt with a hand surgeon. Now I need to go through the whole process again for a 2nd opinion. My wrist isn't looking too pretty right now nor is it feeling too grand.
So thanks Natty, because things kind of suck right now.

over-charge like you wouldn't believe.
I walked in for an appt. for my foot.
He talked to me for 3 min. tapped the ankle a couple of times
and set up another appt.
Charges me $280. I was like Okay......right.
Next, I get an electromyogram done on my foot(Nerve conduction test).
Takes 1hr. They basically poke you with needles. Its not fun.
Got charged $1080.
I was a bit taken back when they told me.
I mean I can afford it, but come on, thats WAY TOO
expensive for such a simple test.
The US is actually worse than england for medical bills.

Sounds like a mess fonz. Was it covered by insurance or was it out of pocket?? I have good insurance. I pay a $10 copay on regular dr visits but surgery etc is 100% covered.
The first dr I got referred to had a baby last week and is on maternity leave. I've also come to the conclusion that to be hired at my insurance company, one must be required to be stupid. I called there and asked their customer service for some options for hand specialists-- every clinic # they gave me said that they didn't have hand specialists.
I finally complained to our HR department and they figured it out for me.
HI-- is fonz a campus model too??

Fonz may very well be a Campus Model, damb competition.

A year ago my grandpa got his bowel cancer removed and he survived, but just a week ago he got rushed back into the hospital cause the cancer has spread everywhere, and basically he's going to die soon. Even worse, when he came to, the first thing he asked was "will I live long enough to see my family at thanksgiving?"
ill shamelessly admit when i heard that, i started crying.
life can be totally fucked up.
But I've got something out of this. It makes you want to appreciate life to its fullest while you have it, because someday that's going to be me in bed dying.

My insurance is very different from everybody elses.
I'm covered under American life Insurance because
my mother traveled so much(diplomat), when i was young(and now too) that it became a pain to get insurance at all the different respective countries I was living at.
American Life is a bit more expensive than most, but I have to admit they're pretty damn good.
The way it works is that i pay then send the bill back to
Am. Life and they refund me the money.(Wel...most of
it in a case like the electromyoogram).
Best Health Care system I have seen is in Canada(Lived
in ottawa for 6 years). OHIP as its called is amazing.
