r-ALA Taste

I remember my ALA used to burn the back of my throat if it didn't go down too well.
The other day I swallowed an open cap of r-ALA (100mg) accidentaly.
It didn't burn at all?
Does that sound ok? Should'nt it burn like regular ALA?

It must have been washed down immediately or the cap wasn't broken bad enough to let any r-ala out. It will burn for a few minutes.

Well shit man, I think mine may be bunk then, because I had the open cap in my mouth for quite some time, and it didn't burn at all!
I remember with ALA you had to swallow it straight away, even if the cap was enclosed, because you would always get a heartburn like sensation in your throat.
