There is no effective dose that is pegged for people. I would say 100mg R-ala per 30-50g carbs that you take in, that's about as accurate as I can get. I would suggest doing a balanced diet for yourself, the R-ala is just an aid no diet (besides having carbs of course) is highly better than the next.
