R-ALA question

I was wondering, since ALA (or R-ALA) increases insulin sensitivity in both muscle and fat cells, would taking it while eating fat, cause excessive fat to be stored?

I am wondering because before i go to bed, I take a Caseinate shake with a tablespoon or two of flax. I wanted to add ALA about 10 minutes prior, so that my blood sugar would be very low, increasing the ammount of GH to be released, while i sleep. But if it does increase the storing of fat, then, i may want to skip the flax oil.

Do you guys think ALA, before bed could be benneficial?

ALA - Yes
R-ALA - No.

It's been asked somewhere before (otherwise I wouldntk now the answers, hehe). If someone doesnt give you the reasons, I'll post a link to the hows and whys

I asked two different questions, which one did you answer, and please explain if possible, or post a link. I have been searching for hours, but there is too much info on ala, all repeating the same thing.

ALA and r-ALA both increase clearance of glucose from the blood by making muscle AND FAT cells more sensitive.

I have been reading, and there has not been a clear answer if R-ala increases insulin sensitivity, and therefore making fat more suseptible to being stored. Or if it just works on a different pathway that only allows for glucose, as opposed to protien and fat to be stored.

R-ala makes all cells more insulin sensitive, however it also lowers plasma insulin which reduces adipogenesis.

R-ala also via activation of mitogen activated protein kinase factors inhibits adipogenesis and adipocyte differentiation.

So, whats the deal, can it be used before bed to increase GH release?

Is it a bad idea to eat fat when taking in R-Ala.

Ok, now post the study for that good answer as reduction of insulin is VERY important!
