r-ALA powder

Have any of you guys bought r-ALA in powder form? I came across a deal for 20grams of R-ala for $19.00. I go through so much of it (1000mgs + per day) that I've been looking into buying it in powder form. Is that a good deal?

Well, it's coming from AGCL so I'm sure quality won't be an issue. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to buy it in powder form. Would you have to get a digital scale and measure out each dose? It could be more hassle than it's worth.

youd have to cap it, and weigh the cap, then the subsequent ones, (should) weigh the same

lol ... the guys got a point. You will never know the purity unless you have it tested. Even though AGCL is a great source, it is still UG. The product may not be even CLOSE to glucorrel-r. But hey .. it could also be the exact same thing at a fraction of the cost. My advice would be to test some.

with respect to powder, unless its tested by the method AF/avopharm or labiochem uses.. what you get is a crap shoot have seen lots that supposedly test at 99.8 come out less than 90%. A lot of bad material, sub 90% was dumped on the market recently (because Avopharm refused several hundred kilos).

special care is taken with the transport of the material for Glucorell and its handling during capping. Care that does not exist in any other capping facility, including special temperature and humidity.

Ask Macro to be sure bro, but pretty sure that r-ALA severly depletes your supply of essential B vitamins (biotin being the main one in question).

lipoic acid (both R and S) deplete biotin dependent carboxylases (they dont compete (ala and biotin- a common misconception- though R and S DO compete for uptake). The addition of biotin over comes this (hence why Glucorell contains 750mcg of biotin)

If I order the powder would you be willing to have it tested? If it turns out to be pure it could translate to a lower cost if the raw materials turn out to be cheaper.

If you mean for Glucorell R, no. Glucorell R is largest provider of R+ALA in the world. We already get better prices through economies of scale than anyone else. That's how we were able to finally match the prices of the people selling agricultural grade material up against our purest pharmaceutical grade.

The powder you're going to buy will be considerably less potent and pure than what is used in Glucorell R. That powder comes from a broker who gets it from a broker who gets it from a lab. We buy from the lab and we have our own representative that we send from Chicago overseas to inspect the lab and the material. He takes the best material made by the best lab and we leave the rest. "The rest" is what YOU can buy in powder.
