I would take QV (or ANY Human Grade gear) for quality standards ANYDAY over some homebrew that some guy makes in his bedroom while his parents watch TV in the living room
NO WAY is some Homebrew stuff more sterile than ANY of the major name brands...(of which QV would fall into that category)
Now if you are talking about a major UG label like Syrus then I WOULD trust them for cleanliness and sterility, but NOT some Joe Schmoe making it in his apartment
