What do you press do get the DOS prompt to reformat everything on my harddrive and get Win 98 again?

I just installed Windows XP but I hate it because my computer crashes from time to time.

If C is your main drive (with windows);

C:\format c:

Format. Then,
Put in your Win 98 CD and start to re-install.
Make a Win 98 startup disk on a seperate disk first.

boot up, hold down the F8 key.-should get DOS promt. Windows 2000 (98 sucked bad) has been working great for me but I can get those updates pretty fast....

Why do I have to make a seperate disk first?

How do you make the Win 98 start up disk?

What sucked about 98? I never had any problems with 98 until a fucking virus hit me.

XP is fucking crashing on me 4 times already and I've had it 2 days.

I'm going back to 98.

I was running it on a laptop and a home PC-both crashed/locked a lot. Couldn't shut laptop down properly either...Now that I have 2000 I can leave my PC on 24/7 and it never crashes.

-You will be prompted to make the boot disk-it is not 100% neccicary but a pretty good measure-

Sometimes reformating erases the cd drivers (like if u have 1 partition on your HD) sooo you may have a bitch of a time trying to get dos to recognize u have a cd drive.
