I've heard ru-486 talked about as a drug to help combat the higher levels of progesterone from deca use. I have just been told that ru-486 is actually a type of synthetic progesterone. So how would ru-486 lower progesterone?

From what I remember, RU-486 will compete for the same receptors (basically like Novaldex) and clear the progesterone. When given to women, they also give them at the same time prostaglandin tabs. BTW RU-486 is a very powerful cortisol reducer.

Similar to clomids action, it is an o-estrogen and binds to the the Estrogen receptor without activating it. Since it in essence blocks the receptor, real estrogen, that does activate the receptor, cant attach.
