I will be trveling to your beautiful country In three weeks. It will be my first trip since they tightened security at the border. Can anyone tell me what documentation I will need to be able to pass the US/Canada border in both directions?

K for responses

If you're an American citizen, your passport is about all you'll need. If you don't have one or can't get one in time, they should accept your birth certificate without a problem.

That's all? Are you sure? It's a company trip and I don't want to be the guy who doesn't make it.

Your "I am a liberal" card of course.

It can be substituted with your "I never voted for him" card too.

Otherwise it's a automatic strip-search.

A drivers license is not sufficient. You may get through with that but why take the chance? Bring a passport or a birth certificate and you are certain not to have an issue.

Yeah, those latex gloves make me nervous.

I think I'll play it safe. I'll bring along my birth certificate, I don't even have a passport.

Canadian Customs will give you more hassle over not having rabies vaccination for your dog -- and could care less if you're bringing in contraband or terrorist weapons. I kid you not.

Probably because we don't have people trying to blow us up :)

that's what we thought on 9/10. :)

lol

I don't think we have the same issues bro.

I'm more concerned with all you fookers coming up here to dodge Iraq or all the geriatrics pilfering our drug supply ;)

If you are going for recreational purposes all you have to have is a drivers liscense. They like it if you have another piece of citizenship info ie., voter registration card, bith cert.or a notorized copy, passport.

If you are going for work then it gets a little tricky. In order to work up there I had to have:
ID- Drivers liscense or passport
Birth cert. or copy
Letter of service from my company (explains what you do)
Letter of contract engagement from the company we were working for
My diploma (not a copy but actual diploma to prove I am a geologist.
Money for work visa

Cheers,
Scotsman

As long as you are going under the espice of "Meeting" or "Education" you don't need the visas and stuff, but if you do any work there and get caught doing it you are going to be in a world of shit.

Lower taxes, improve economic policies to facilitate more economic expansion and trade, and stop having every facet of government controlled by hippie tree-huggin' agendas and i'll come back with flying colors.

or least 8 months of the year. I'm so over snow and cold. :)
