Actually, any anti-depressant/weight-gain association will do just fine. My question is this: Has anyone here ever had a signifigant amount of weight-gain after being prescribed these meds? And if yes, then how long after their succession(assuming you quit taking them), did the weight-gain seem to subside? I am asking because I have been on these fucking Paxils forever and a day, and therefore have to watch my diet CLOSE, or else I can put on 40lbs. of fat in like 6 weeks, maybe less(no exaggeration)!! My whole family has the "I can eat Twinkies for days, and not gain any fat" genetics, and I'm the only one out of all of them who works out, yet I am ALSO the only one who puts on signifigant weight, or has to watch his/her diet in any way. Therefore, my assumption(which is correct, I assure you), that the Paxil is the deciding factor in why that might be. I was watching a special about the "Atkins Diet" this weekend, and they were stating that one of their goals for people who come into their Clinic overweight, is to get them off of these types of Meds, assuming they are on them. This was my deciding factor, after 5 years on Paxil, to finally try to get off them for good. They are starting to become a "crutch" anyhow, if you will, due to their high cost, and side-effects. When I was first prescribed them, trust me, NO side -effects were too shitty to put up with, when compared to my overall mental state at the time. The only reason I never tried to come off them since then, was for fear of ever fealing like that again, but like I said.....it has been 5 years. I think it is time to at least try.
So anyhow, does anyone else have experiences as to what happens when you come off this shit, as far as these side-effects diminishing?? Thanks
