Questions about carb-up

there's somes questions..

1) What should be the MAX g of carbs that I can eat per day on a weekend carb-up ?

2) Is there a way to eat low GI/ high GI during the week-end ? ( I mean maybe complex carbs at the begenning of the first day, and more high GI when it comes the end of the two days)

3) What should be the ratio p/c/f for a carb up ?

4) How much ALA should I take per day ?

Thank you

BTW, I'm 18, 5''8' , 9% BF, 165 pounds

take 6-7 grams of ala throught your carb-up anyway 2 days or so

option 1
eat all you want carbs sugar you name it. sure you will replenish glycogen and raise leptin but you will also crash from the insulin spike and sleep all weekend. lets not talk about the bloat jesus thats the most depressing thing about doing outragous carb ups and the weight gain is too much for some to bear. sure its only water but 6-7 pounds gained overnight will leave you in a spiralling depression and will be hard to pick back up on the diet. then your so fucking hungry after all that insulin circulating through your blood you say fuck it dieting shmieting im not going to suffer anymore. so you binge eat your way to the next diet
had enough? i thougt so!

option 2:)
do a reffed with foods mixed with fats and proteins as well. why you ask? cause remember insulin is the major player throught the whole diet, it can be the best and the worst part of the diet so its up to you how you want to control your insulin.
eat pizza burgurs fries but in MODERATION and give yourself 6-7 weeks and voila your done.

dont forget your ala!!!

good luck bro

i wanna give a shout out my boy kakdiesel...where you at my brotha?

I usually start strictly w/ high GI carbs, then basically start w/option #2 after 2 or 3 meals, then for the last meal or two I eat high GI. The water hold from doing it this way seems to go away much quicker, plus you might actually eat fewer calories since fat is filling. I actually don't like refeeds because of the water weight and I feel it sets me back, even though it doesn't. Low carb dieting makes you carb sensative, and too many high GI carbs will bloat you crazy.
For protein, shoot for about 1g/lb. of LEAN body mass.

I agree high gi bloat me to hell as well.
the sad fact of the matter is when a person get BLOATED then they loose focus of whats actually important. sure it water but its physilogically(sp?) devistating to some.

I only eat high GI on my carb ups and switch to low GI after 5:00PM and I dont feel bloated at all... Even if u only eat high GI throughout the day but in moderation u wont feel bloated...lets say 200gr per meal... I ate 600gr of High GI and 400gr of low GI on my last carb-up. Everything I ate was fat-free and I didnt pay attetntion to the protein I was eating cause I THINK that the purpose of carb-up is having carbs and almost no fat although Im gonna include some EFA on my next carb up and more complex carbs cause I ate so many simple carbs that I got sick of so much sugary carbs.

Not true, everyone's different. Some people are more insulin sensitve and carb sensetive than others. Gotta try it out for yourself.
