Adequan Canine (5 mL bottle)

Adequan Canine comes with ONE 5 mL bottle.
FAST ACCESS TO THE JOINTS: Beneficial levels of Adequan are already at work in all major joints within two hours after intramuscular injection, with even greater uptake (up to 73% higher) in joint tissues that are inflamed or diseased.
LONG-TERM EFFECTS: Adequan relieves the pain and disability of joint damage, and the relief has been shown to last up to 6 months or longer.
BREAKS THE DESTRUCTIVE CYCLE: Adequan binds to damaged cartilage and boosts cartilage metabolism, facilitating repair processes. At the same time, it blocks the action of destructive enzymes that promote joint inflammation, break down the synovial fluid, and attack the cartilage.
RENEWS THE JOINT FLUID: Adequan stimulates the synovial membrane to manufacture new synovial fluid to replace the thin, degraded fluid of joint disease. By doing so, Adequan helps lubricate, nourish, and clean the cartilage.
Administration: An initial 8-dose series is recommended: 2 mg/lb intramuscularly twice a week for four weeks. Adequan Canine is packaged in 5 mL (100 mg/mL) multidose vials.

Is injectable Cortisone available online somewhere?
What type of websites carry it?
"glucocorticoids such as CORTISONE are involved in glucose regualtion and protein matabolism.....decrease protein synthesis... also reduce the body immunological and inflammatory response." (thats why they help, reduce inflammation)big_boy_1 said:You can purchase it legally. Its not banned
Be aware that cortisone is a CORTICO-steroid not an anabolic steroid.
Why you need Costisone bro?
Injury?
Then a doctor may prescribe it.
Is the injury isnt too serious, use some deca and NSAIDs.
Get well soon!

itlnstln said:Do you think these orals are better than site injection
njmuscleguy said:the link that Quiltie sent is for prednisone.... the company also carries adequan though (injectable)

njmuscleguy,
the shots are not that bad, quit being a pussy
also, they cant put it in the glute because it needs to be injected into or on top of the problem area.
i just had 3 in my shoulder, im trying to avoid another shoulder operation
itlnstln said:How does Adequan compare to regular cortisone:
njmuscleguy said:I don't think that Quiltie or anyone here so far knows bro.... all I can find online is for dog use.... haven't found anything in human use (even anecdotal)... I'd be a little hesitant to try it without at least knowing that a good amount of people take it with few problems
itlnstln said:very true - that's why i am asking so many questons
if you read down, under availability: it says prescription.njmuscleguy said:the link that Quiltie sent is for prednisone.... the company also carries adequan though (injectable)

already had 1 shoulder operation, torn glenoid labrum.njmuscleguy said:3? sounds a bit excessive.... why that many? and how long does a shot last?
also on the link its says for IM injection. i think you want to inject cortisone directly into the joint, not into glute or something.njmuscleguy said:the link that Quiltie sent is for prednisone.... the company also carries adequan though (injectable)

SwolK said:I just posted this on your other thread too, but here it is incase you read this one first:
of course im not a doc(yet, going to med school for orthopedics)
it does not sound like a torn labrium, as i think that would hurt when throwing.
i would think that if rotator cuffwas torn bad, flat bench and behind neck presses would hurt too...
I would guess impingement. Doc who operated on me told me it is VERY common for bodybuilders. it is when your AC joint (acromioclavicular) is deformed, irregular, not big enough, or any shape out of the norm... and it bascially closes in on the rotator cuff and other lig/tendons, and muscles. therefore, not enough room for everything inside the joint anymore to move freely. things can start to crowd, and become inflammed/or frayed...turning into larger tear's
this type of problem could cause pain in some movements and not in others. Well thats my best guess. you could check out webmd or something for more info, but this is a very common problem for bodybuilders.
If it keeps giving you trouble, i would go see a GOOD orthopediest.
if they give you cortisone injections, then by all means they know what they are doing(thats what they are currently doing to me)
but I would not self administer them because if you do have impingment or a tear, the cortisone may cover the pain up and then you will hurt it even worse...meaning a severly torn rotator cuff surgury is a long recovery.
SwolK said:already had 1 shoulder operation, torn glenoid labrum.
then 1 yr after that operation, i messed up my rotator cuff. they say they cant tell if it is torn or not with the MRI becuase there is lots of inflamation. so they are trying to calm down the inflamation with the cortisone injections to see if that heals the pain or not. Ive been doing physical therapy for about 6 months on it, it has not gotten really any better. im getting frustrated with it.
njmuscleguy said:italn: I agree with swolk, you should check to see if it's some sort of impingement.... I didn't read your other post, so I'm not sure what your condition is.... but if you haven't gotten an MRI already, you should... it will show impingement, tendinosis, ac joint arthrosis, any tears (basically everything they found in my shoulders *grin*)... these are very common for lifters...they call it bench-presser's shoulder
tendinitis / inflammation can be easily taken care off (anti-inflammatories)... tears are challenging... impingement, they may or may not be able to do anything about it...chiropractic care might help
one of the most common is celebrex, although i have never had any real relief from it.itlnstln said:What type of Anti-Inflammitories
SwolK said:one of the most common is celebrex, although i have never had any real relief from it.
now Doc put me on Voltaren-XR 100mg. generic name is Diclofenac sodium; and it seems to be working better then the Celebrex.
you are thinking of Viox. They took Viox and Bextra(which worked good) off the market.itlnstln said:Wasn't there some seriosu sides with Celebrex, or am i thinking of Viox?
SwolK said:you are thinking of Viox. They took Viox and Bextra(which worked good) off the market.
Supposedly, Celebrex is in the same class as Viox and Bextra. Cox 3 inhibitor(I think?) I dont know if they are currently trying to pull celebrex off the market, they may be...
For me, Voltaren has worked best other than Bextra. I think Voltaren is a Cox 1 inhibitor(again, not sure, but i think)
I take it with a grain of salt. any med(Viox, roids, tylenol....ect...) if taken too long at too high of a dose has the possibility of hurting you. I think Viox was no exception. just my opinion
