Question

Can pain meds such as percocets cause muscle loss, or even just weight loss in general? If taken only about 3 times a week? I am curious because for the past couple of nights I've been popping 1 10mg percocet right before I go to sleep and I sleep like a baby. Since I started training its been harder for me to sleep, and I've already tried valiums which do nothing for me. So my main question would be would popping a few percs a week affect my weight? Thanks for any replies. This post may get flames but I am just curious. Thanks.

The percs will probably not effect muscle gains, however, percs are a poor sleep med and you will find yourself needing to increase dosage to get same effects very shortly. Try seroquil 25-50 mgs. Its a good appetite stimulant also. Or, Try Clonidine .02mg. Clonidine causes HGH release and will actually increase gains. (theoretically)

Well, my problem is not gaining weight. I'm a pretty big guy around 245 pounds. It's just that when I think of pill poppers I invision skinny guys . Which I don't want to turn into.lol. Another words I do not think pain meds play a good role in bodybuilding, but I was told that if you do not over do them they will not affect you at all. I'm sure I am just really paranoid though. I may go ahead and try some Clonodine. It sounds pretty good.

clonidine the 1st time you take it will give you the worst cottonmouth ever, that aside, its a much better way to go. shit, if you need meds to goto sleep, why not take ones that help ya grow. and stay away from 1,4 and GHB. They are bad news....

Yep, I know all about the ghb. I was hooked on it for about a half a year. Well actually it was gbl. I ended up getting a pretty nasty ulcer in my stomach which took forever to get rid of. And coming off of that stuff was like taking a walk in hell. But yeah I'm going to give clonodine a try. Thanks for the advice.
