question on usps

I entered my tracking number, and all it says is that the info was entered into the system on Aug 1. That is all it says. Have not seen a package yet. Should I be worried about being busted?

IMHO it's too soon to be worried...was it an overseas or domestic delivery?

The chances of getting busted for an individual-use purchase are slim(unless by 'busted' you mean 'confiscated') If it's an int'l order & customs seizes it, you'll just get a letter saying the order was confiscated.

no that means that the shipper just paid for the shipping online and the tracking info is in the system but your shipper hasnt actually shipped the package. once it is dropped off at the post office then it will say departed and it shoudl show an estimated delivery date.

partly true...

it DOES mean teh shipper paid for the shipping online.
but no other info will be updated on usps.com so the sender may have sent the package or may have NOT sent it.

Bigman is correct here, I had the same questions about 2 months ago, and when I talked to the source they said exactly what Bigman is saying, ie the shipping has been paid for and the tracking number is now in the system , but it doesnt mean the package has been sebt out yet....

Anyone have a rough estimate on how many packages get seized to say 100 sent? Obviously there's no actual number and it'd be a guess by most people but it just seems to me since of all the tightening of securitiy everywhere it'd be quite a risk?? Maybe I'm totally off here..
