Question on SwoleV2

Hi !

I have a question on SwoleV2. The instructions say to take 8-12 hrs apart. I thought you would just take before and after a workout. What's the big deal? When's the best time to take the doses?

If you want to do that, fine. Personally, I took my first serving first thing in the morning, with breakfast, and my following serving was prior to my WO, in the evening. You might experience some stomach discomfort. I wrote a review on it in the 'sticky' above :D
 
Thanks Sawastea. Can i mix the swole to my protein drink and throw in some dextrose at the same time? I want to try dextrose, i hope it doesn't put weight on. Should i take the swole on my days off, like Wed. Sat. and Sun. and the same doses? Should i have a little carbs after my workout, come home a little after 6:30p? Should i omit the post w/o shake after training? I know its a bunch of questions, but i appreciate you taking the time to answer. Will read your link.

You could mix it with protein but I wouldn't. It works better by itself. Just give yourself 30minutes before drinking the protein. Also, I would take this pre-workout instead of post.
 
Thanks for responding S.Foxx! So, take the creatine first, then take the protein shake w/ dextrose 30 min. later? I guess i shouldn't eat anything else, like carbs since i'll be so full from all this, right? No need for more fuel?

I would do it like this. First thing in the morning-Swole. Wait about 30 minutes before you eat or take protein. 45 minutes before workout--Swole again. Then around 15 minutes before workout take your protein. Then post workout take your protein and dextrose(or whatever carbs you use). This is just a guideline. No reason to worry about timing it, just try to stay around those numbers.
 
Glad to help. Also, if you feel sick to the stomach taking Swole V.2 on an empty stomach, then go ahead and take with meals or protein. Some are very sensitive to some of the ingredients of Swole V.2.
 
Thanks S.Foxx. Do you think i should add dextrose to my protein shake before my wk/out? I know some like to do this but wasn't sure if i'm getting sugar in the swole??? Should i do it this way instead of taking the dextrose after my wk/out w/ my protein??? I usually have some brown rice or veges or sweet pot. after wk/out anyway so should i add the dextrose beforehand? Need some further clarification. A newbie to the dextrose thing & whey.

I don't see any need to add dextrose before the workout. It's after the workout that you need to restore glycogen.
 
Hey S.Foxx, i'm confused. Some other guy said to add the dextrose before your w/o w/ a protein shake to get really good pumps. So are you saying it would be a waste of time to take the dextrose w/ the shake before my w/o? Just trying to understand the mechanics. Do you know anything about swole v2 and the ingredients in it, like if there's any form of sugar? Then i wouldn't need any added sugar to my protein shake beforehand.

There is no sugar in Swole V.2, it works thru different mechanisms. Rely on that for your pump. I have a high opinion of Swole V.2. Forget dextrose w/protein before the workout, just use it post-workout. Its purpose is to restore muscle glycogen that you used up during the workout.

Do you know of dextrose working well for women that you've heard in the bb circle? I've never taken it so i'm concerned about storing extra fat in places that its not wanted.

Dextrose isn't necessary with the other carbs that you are taking. Some will argue that it works better, but there aren't any studies backing that claim up. Glad to help.
 
Thanx guy. I appreciate you taking time to answer my questions. I'll skip the dextrose and just have complex carbs after my w/o. Is that what you do? Do you take any dextrose at all? Do you take creatine? I'm trying to ask other bb's what they do and what works.

I don't take dextrose, usually just oatmeal mixed in with my protein. I alternate between regular creatine mono., swole v.2, and satur8.
