Question on DFHT -- Matt Reynolds Style.

I've read his works regarding DF training and am going to give his program a try. (http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/Dual_Factor_Hypertrophy_Training.doc)

Coming off two cycles of Madcow's 5X5 in which I've trained M-W-Fri., I have grown accustomed to the three day training split offered by the 5X5 variation. Matt lays out his program on a 4 day split, training upper body on M and Th, and training lower body on tues, and Fri.

Would it make a world of difference if I were to change it up a little and do upper and lower on alternating days such as Monday(upper), Wed(lower), Fri(upper), Mon(lower), Wed(upper), Fri(lower) etc...?

I don't think anyone could really tell you how you would react to the change b/c everyone responds differently. I have been using the DFHT program by Matt Reynolds for 3 months now and I've been getting very good gains. I preferred the idea of squatting 2 times a week compared to 3 and the variety that you can add into the program. I usually load for 3 weeks and then unload for a week with 15 - 20% lighter weights.

big perm - something to note. DFHT has been modified a few times to lower the workload and make it more accessible to people. That version in the word doc is the original and is pretty damn high compared to the stock periodized 5x5 I have on that site. Even the toned down ones can be a lot so you need to watch out. Try the Core Magazine version first. I think it's covered in Part II: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/core9.htm
