when I click a link on one of the threads here, it pops open in 1/5th screen size. If I open a new tab or even a completely new browser window by clickin IE it opens full size. ???

I just tested my firefox, opens a new browser full screen. Only thing I'd recommend is getting version 2.0.0.15 instead of the new one. New one bugged me for a couple reasons.

This is probably the fault of those annoying pop-ups that steal the focus and re-size your browser window, common on vendor sites. You click to view the shirt in a different color, and the picture comes up in a small window. Next time you select an off-site link, it comes up the same size.

Open Internet Explorer from the icon on your desktop, make it the size you want, and then close it down. Next time you select a hotlink, it should come up the same size.

I've found you have to maximize it, shut it down, possibly even try restarting your computer. It should recall how it was shut down last time.

The most important part seems to be to open it from the icon on your desktop instead of from a hotlink or the Favorites list or Start menu. It will remember that one.

Open a new window. Drag the lower right corner until you get it to the maximum size. Hold down the control key and go to file and exit. It will remember that size.
