Question for Veteran lifters

im 24. and i know that i am no where near peak, and i've been in the gym since i was 16. (well, i started messing around with weights when i was 14, but nothing anywhere near serious till 16.)

Started lifting around age 13
Got serious around age 18
I am now 27 and would like to think I am just finishing up building base camp and getting ready to drive for the peak.

Cheers,
Scotsman

i started at 32. i'm 37 now and the strongest i've been. i recover faster now than i used to too.

Well I think you have a "natuarl" peak, or peope would have been benching a thousand pounds some time ago!! But as for me
started when I was around 15, but nothing serious till about a year ago, messed around alot, but didnt know anything, so was more of just moving weights around blind!

but I dont think your peak has everything to do with your age, untill you get up there (50's or so)buut the easiese time IMO is from 23-35!

No such thing as "peak performance" to me. Your as good as you let yourself become. Its all in your head.

Well.. I beg to differ. Look at the over 60 division in the Mr.Olympia. Clearly those guys are no longer at their peak.

You can beg all you want......I like that :) J/K. What I was sayin was not to put limits on youself mentally. If you start thinking those kind of thoughts its the first step to failure, wasnt ment literially.

27 now and not there yet...
