question for Mr. X about CKD and adipex

I just printed up your manual and I'll be figuring the diet out for my g/f. She has a prescription for Adipex and she started taking it. Would this be ok to replace the adipo kinetix and the ephedrine or is it unsafe in ketosis. Personally I don't like her taking it but she is hard-headed and thinks she is fat like all girls, she only weighs 125!!! Im sure you know how that is

Adipex-P (Phentermine HCL @37.5mg)
phentermine hydrochloride
An anorexiant prescribed as a short-term adjunct in exogenous obesity. Brand names: Adipex-P® (Lemmon), Fastin® (SmithKline Beecham), Ionamin® (Pfizer), Zantryl® (ION Laboratories). Source: American Drug Index, 1996; Drug Information Handbook, 1995-96.

Yes, my friend, I know how it is. My girlfriend still gets into the "I am fat" mode" and she's only 100lbs....put some reason behind that. Because I can't.

Now, Adipex, in my view, it is really not necessary for a 125lb. woman. In fact, it's usually prescribed to the obese, so I do not think she needs it at all. It can be dangerous to one's health, and should not be used unless you are obese. I am wondering how she got a prescription...let me guess, an online pharmacy.

If you would like, I can specifically explain to your girlfriend the problems with the drug. My email: [email protected]... I also, think that using ephedrine + Adipo. as I recommended will do much more. (but you could use Adipex for appetite suppression)

WARNING:
Adipex-P is contraindicated in arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, and moderate to severe hypertension. Other contraindications or adverse events include central nervous system effects, gastrointestinal disturbances, hives, and changes in libido. Exercise caution when prescribing anti-obesity drugs for patients with mild hypertension. Adipex-P is indicated as a short-term monotherapy in combination with a long-term obesity treatment program. Primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) and cardiac valvular disease have been reported in patients receiving a combination of phentermine and fenfluramine or dexfenfluramine. The possibility of an association between PPH and the use of phentermine alone cannot be ruled out.
