I still don't understand how or why steroids make your blood thinner and/or prevent it from clotting.

Can someone please explain this to me????

Ummm, who told you that???

Most steroids will increase your hematocrit, thickening your blood.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't steroids actually thicken the blood by stimulating the production of RBC's?

(Isn't this why steroids can lead to atherosclerosis, i.e. high LDL + high RBC's?)

Dude, you just contradicted your self.

How did I contradict myself. I DON"T think steroids make the blood thinner. that's why I'm posting this question.. Check out the link and you'll see.

I posted this a while back...

...testosterone will definitely cause an increase in the percentage of red blood cells (erythrocytes ) in the blood. Too many red blood cells tend to thicken your blood, making it easier to clot, especially in smaller vessels. Very excessive red blood cells could actually be dangerous for your heart for this reason. But on the other hand, too little erythrocytes, results in anemia, tiredness, fatigue, etc.

White blood cells (or leukocytes), are what comes to the rescue when you get sick.

I'm not sure what the interaction between the two are. e.g. if you have too many red blood cells, does that mean you can't have as many white ones causing your infection fighting capabilities to be compromised. I seriously doubt that as I've never heard of people with high test levels being more prone to sickness.

Thanks bro. That pretty much confirms what i had thought.

People on this board were advising me not to juice before my surgery (today), but I purposely planned my cycle around this date as to take advantage of the benefits from the anabolics.
