i do them in chucks. people who do compete olympic lifting wear the shoes with the heel. i dont. we all know im a powerlifter. and i have a weak point in my hips, and this exercise kills them.
it works the same with all three.
Front Squats
Zercher Squats
Overhead Squats
all three work the crap out of your quads. (dont get me wrong, i feel all three in my quads too.) But i dont do them with a close or moderate stance. i do them as wide, or wider than my normal squats. and yes i feel it in my quads a good bit, but when all 3 of those exercises are done with a wide stance, all 3 put incredible stess on the hips.
if you wear flat shoes, squat wide, and point your toes straight, i guarantee you will feel what i mean!!!
