Question about VONAGE...

Do any of you use VONAGE as your phone service? Basically it's a phone service that uses the internet (via broadband) to make & recieve calls. Currently I'm paying $70+ for SBC local & MCI long distance. Vonage has an unlimited local call plan for only $24.99
I'm thinking of switching over to them. Does anyone use their service? If so, what is your experience with this service? Opinions are appreciated.

I personally do not use vonage because we cannot transfer our home phone number to the vonage service. However, I do work with 3 people who do use the Vonage service. They absolutely love it, same (if not better) voice quality and the nifty bells and whistles. The only problem I know of is if you are eligible to transfer your phone number, it can take up to 4 months. This is not Vonage's fault, but the local phone company (no money in it for them).

I use ATT Callvantage. Sometimes there's static because it doesn't like some cordless phones but overall it's a no-brainer.

LOL...I think that clip was originally on "America's Funniest Videos" years ago.

i recalled the commercial because I made a mental note to NEVER EVER use their product of services.
