Question about training after gyno-surgery

ASALT

For those who have had the surgery, how long before you started training again? I just had surgery a week ago, and my Doctor told me that I have to wait 6 weeks before ANY training. This seems a little over-cautious. I figured I could start doing light arms after about 2-3 weeks, but he said no. I gotta do something or I'm gonna go crazy!

My doctor released me to train 10 days after my "hack job".

Once the cuts heal up and the tenderness goes away, you should be able to lift... if you had the same kind of surgery as myself... that is.

But then again, I'm not a licensed medical doctor... and he is. So you might want to listen to YOUR doctor, not what mine said 5+ years ago.

I had a GYNO surgery to 6 weeks is not an over kill at all. I thought the same thing when I had mine and complained my GYNO told me that it is slow healing and any heavy lifting would cause it to be way longer so I listned to him. First 3 weeks nothing after 3 weeks no lifting but can do some stretching and very light cardio. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna try and do some light curls after 3-weeks, and start working everything but chest after 4-weeks, but very light. I'll wait the full 6 for chest. Oh, by the way I had glandular exision, no lipo.
