I think that the goal is to one day own the car. Most cars you see in their videos are rented for the shoot. Same goes for the jewelery and the homes. I saw a special over the weekend. There are only about 5 rich rappers. The rest are owned like slaves. I felt better after seeing this show. I always thought they made too much money for the bullshit music they put out.

EVEN THOUGH I'D LIKE TO AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS, ITS JUST NOT THE CASE. INCREASINGLY, RAPPERS (AND ANY OTHER MUSICIANS FOR THAT MATTER) HAVE THEIR OWN LABELS. THE ONLY THING THEY HAVE TO SIGN IS A DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH THE MAJOR LABEL. HENCE MORE RAPPERS ARE MAKING MORE MONEY.

ITS OBVIOUS THAT THEY DONT OWN THE SHIT IN VIDEO SHOOTS, BUT MOST OF THEM DO OWN LOTS AND LOTS OF SHIT. EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF SHIT.

50 CENT IS SIGNED TO BOTH AFTERMATH AND SHADY WITH THE PARENT BEING INTERSCOPE. HOWEVER, HE HAS STARTED HIS OWN LABEL AS WELL (G-UNIT). I THINK EM AND DRE STAY TOGETHER FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THEY ARE MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL TO EACH OTHER. NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE THE TWO BIGGEST NAMES IN HIP HOP SO ANYTHING THAT THEY TOUCH GOES MULIT-PLATINUM (I.E....8-MILE, 50 CENT, ETC.).

I READ SOMETHING IN FORBES A WHILE BACK SAYING THAT THE NUMBER OF MILLIONAIRES IN THE U.S. HAS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY (I FORGET THE PERCENTAGE) LARGELY DUE TO THE NEWLY ACQUIRED MILLIONS OF SO MANY RAPPERS AND OTHER MUSICIANS.

BUT YES, THERE ARE STILL A LOT SLEEPING ON COUCHES. THEY ARE GETTING SCREWED BY THE EXECS.
