question about quicktime player

is there anyway i can make this full screen? not half ass full screen like the player does, but so that htere is nothing else on the screen? if not can i convert the files to windows media player somehow? that player lets you have something full screen.

I downloaded about 9 episodes of family guy & want to record them onto vhs. don't want to record them with 1/2 the screen being taken up by the browser.
