Question about new Protein bar

Hey

Ok, so I tried this new protein bat - Detour by designer whey and it's delicious -

Question though, 1 bar has32grams protein, and 21 grams carbs, and 9 grams fat - is this too much as a meal supplement at work when I'm trying to loss body fat - keep in mind I usually eat 1/2 the bar (if that)

What do you think????

I think they're absolutely delicious, but they should definitely be treated like a "cheat" food. There's a couple of threads going now on the Diet and Supplements forums about how Detour didn't meet label claims - essentially it tastes like a Snickers because it IS one, plus some extra protein. :(

Hey girls,
The Detour bar really is too good to be true. A number of companies have tested that bar. Here are the stats that are circulating:
19g protein, atleast double the carbs, I think it was 40 something and I can't remember the fat. There are some other companies out there, that are very well advertised, whose nutritional info is off. mainly in the protein concentration.

I do work for another protein company, but everybody tests everybody elses stuff. With no one really governing the whole scene, there's no way to know if every company is telling the truth. I am not biased, that detour bar is damn good and if i want a 5$ snickers, I will have it. I just wanted to post this b/c I am not trying to be some know it all downer. thanks

If you like the bar, and you are losing fat while eating 1/2 a bar per day, then eat the bar and don't worry about it.

I recently saw some test results, and they met label claims. I think they may have had 1g fat extra and 4g extra sugar. Ill try and find those results and post them.

14g of sugar is double+ the 6 grams the label claims. If you're not low carbing it, not a big deal. It's kind of lame to post the low sugar claims and purposefully mislead the low carbers - and diabetics, for that matter.

Now I'm REALLY confused. How many times were they tested, and by whom? Everyone's spouting different numbers.
