Question about Michael Moore and Fahrenheit 9/11

I have heard so many people say they wont watch it because Michael Moore is just laying about everything he says in the movie and is just spreading propaganda…..what the hell is that supposed to mean? Are these people just afraid? Naive? Ignorant? Or just don’t know what this movie really contains….or did he make everything up about the bush administration and print up false documents and is sitting in prison right now for it?

I have seen enough from Micahel Moore to know I do not need to torture myself with two hours of his horrible one sided video splicing. I love how leftys claim that if you refuse to watch a propaganda film then you have no mind of your own...lol. Personally, I think propaganda films by the left or the right should not be shown in theaters.

A friend of mine saw it who I can say is honestly independent and he felt it was a totally skewed view and wondered why Moore failed to show views from level headed soldiers in Iraq, rather than the extremes (anti-bush and super gungho psychos). He said the movie really had no point and seemed like a haphazard collection of anti-bush antiwar crap. Most critics agree that it was horrible.

The movie isn't supposed to be level or balanced, so people who criticize it for such are simply comparing apples and oranges. That's not the movie's intent. As for all the talk of lies and such, the majority of the movie is made up of video clips. While many of the clips can be edited suggestively (and you can sometimes see where that might take place), there is still a plethora of interesting stuff in there that is as true as nathan is flaccid. People don't even see the movie and criticize it. How much sense does that make? That just gives a pretty clear picture of their willingness to follow the leader of whatever their higher up news source informs them.

I'm not partisan. I just happen to think Bush is an absolute embarassment to our country and a huge step in the wrong direction.

this situation made me soo mad i think im gunna start a thread about this.

-i was at my community fire works display to celebrate our great countrys birthday with my family and friends.
this was the first year i was ever (DISTRACTED FROM A FIREWORKS DISPLAY)
by police and hylicopters swarming VIGALANTLY!!!

they were pulling people over and cops on bikes swarming all around where families were trying to enjoy the show. and indiscreatly escorted a bunch of teenagers away with flashing patrol cars.!!!

after the fire works where over the hylicoptors started shining thier lights on the croud!!!!! we are middleclass americans ... thies people are not terrorists.. there was not one arab, or even muslims in the whole community. yet we were obviously being tacticly intimidated by the police force and vigalance...... i didnt feel safe at all.. on the contrary. i felt like i just walked into some future version of ashwitz/terrminator 2.

im not exagerating how uncalled for this was.. i understand the time we live in. but i also know what a police state is... and this wasnt a free 4th of july for my family, friends , and community.....

something very wrong is happening and if youve read my threads you know im not sticking around to find out later when its too late and i got a chip in my arm and im being locked up and sent to guantonimo bay for saying what i said on this thread over my house phone thats being tapped by this new vigilant and protective terror fighting goverment.

I was referring to the hatred for those that are more wealthy. I am so tired of people hating people who are more successful. The bottom line is that if you are satisfied working 40 hours a week for someone else, then shut the fuck up and be happy that someone is paying you. If not, get off your ass and start your own business. I feel no sympathy for people who had a manufacturing job and lost it due to outsourcing or streamlining. Be ahead of the game, get your own thing started... take a risk.

A lot of people have done just that.

The extra competition means that the self employed in Denver are making less than they were in the 90's for the same service. Meanwhile many costs have skyrocketed. Our expenses have also multiplied because technology means that equipment is out of date in 2 years instead of 20. Now gas is sky high as well. Good times.
