question about injecting

I've been juicing for years and I've always used one needle to load th syringe and then changed it to inject cuz that's wha I've always heard is the way to do it. But I noticed when doctors give shots they dont change the needles, they load and inject with the same one. If medical professionals dont feel the need to change needles then why do we?

thats a good point. I recall when i used to get my HRT shots at the docs they would draw and inject with the same pin.

I know when you push a pin through the stopper it dulls it a bit

I don't bother... but the general idea is that the rubber membrane dulls the pin... as JJ mentioned... I find the difference is marginal at best...

You don't need to change it.

The reason that you want to change it is because of the frequency of injections.

How many times do you get a shot from a doctor?

Now, how many times do you give yourself an injection over the same period of time?

Using a fresh pin will cut down on scar tissue.

Not a must, but over time is beneficial.

What about when your using a multi-vile? Is it better to change pins even though you wipe the top off with alcohol?
It's not a matter of sterility in this case, it's a matter of the pin getting dull.

Some people like to draw with 18g cannons. That's the only time I change the pin. It's nice being able to load 3cc in under 5 seconds.

I never saw the need to draw with a diff. needle.
Personal preference.

I honestly can't feel a difference, I've just seen microscopic pics of a fresh needle and one that's gone through the stopper and you'd be surprised of the damage that a stopper can do.

The doc is probably not as concerned about the slightly dull needle. Maybe it would be a diff. story if the needle were going into his ass.

That's another good reason also.

You can draw w/ a 23, but a 25 is just about impossible unless you have 2 hrs to draw up 1cc.
