question about home heating.

So, the home I want to build will be heated solely by radiant floors and a wood burning stove. That with passive solar design and I'll be set and energy efficient. Now, what about cooling? I can't use evaporative because I'm in a humid climate so what are my other options? If possible I'd like to not use a typical HVAC system or heat pump. I've heard of "chillers" but don't know much about them. Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

I have seen those as well as other evaporative coolers or "swamp coolers' before but the underground one might be worth looking into. If I lived in Arizona or Colorado, that would be great. However in the south, that would be BRUTAL. I would be dripping wet just sitting in my home and not for any good reason. I have a heat pump now and I lie it for the most part, but short of a geo-thermal heat pump (which can be VERY costly) I don't know what else is out there. I will certainly have a whole house fan for the spring and fall, but it's june thru august where I need to cold air. I'll admit I'm like a polar bear. I LOVE it 65 degrees in my house in mid July. :)

Thanks for the reeply and k to u.
