My dad has back problems and I was wondering where I could find information on Dethamexasone. Just looking for side effects/drug interaction info.

Cortico-steroids cause a steroid arthropy effect. What it does is eliminates the inflamation in a joint which aids in taking the pressure off of the joint and some nerves as well. It sounds good BUT the steroid arthropothy part is this: the cortico-steroid (cortisone/predinosone) literally eats away the cartilage causing...............you guessed it--more inflamation! I do not advocate the use of these cortisones for this reason, they seem in large part to be USELESS. Yes, of course there are reasons that would necesitate the use of these---just not every time someone gets joint pain! It's destructive!

Tell your father to begin with some serious-ass stretching (using proper biomechanics) and supplement with flax oil/chondroitan Sulfate/glucosamine sulfate/MSM and he will definitely feel remnarkable improvement.

Ok, the drug I mentioned above is what was prescibed to him by a doctor and he has been taking it, he can not do stretches, he has 2 herniated disks, 3 buldging disks, and all of them are degenerative, torn ligaments, and muscle/nerve damage. He doesnt take the drug all the time, this is only the second time he has taken it and it only lasts for 10 days. He just takes it when the pain and inflamation gets so bad that he literally cant get out of the bed. Thanks for the info, I was just wondering how bad the sides were as well as if it would interact with his blood pressure medicine.

What did he do to get that? WORK, thats what got him where he is today, he has done physical labor all of his life and that along with a little heridity and there you go.
