Question about a Multi-vit

I purchased some Twinlab - Daily One Caps w/iron quit a time ago. I am unable to take them it seems though. Because every time I do, without taking it after a HUGE meal, I will end up Throwing it all up. Anyone else had this experience? Any particular food I could take with it, or any particular drink?

TwinLab has a very bad reputation among supplement manufacturers for using shoddy ingredients. Many many years ago they were considered one of the best... using only pharmaceutical grade ingredients... then the quality started to drop and drop.

Unfortunately, so did the quality of the competition. Nowadays, there isn't a single top quality mutli vitamin being sold in retail stores. Some are available via mailorder... but not on a retail level.

Yes, I had a bottle of vitamins awhile back that would make me puke like crazy on an empty stomach, and I can take just about any pill there is with no problems. They'd also give me acute, splitting pain. I tossed them out. I buy OneSource from Wal-Mart and they work just fine, but I still avoid taking them on an empty stomach just in case.

Damn, they werent cheap. I went with them because of the results, and my liking of Twinlab - Ripped Fuel. Splitting them may not be an option, they are in caps, not solid.

Anything that makes me puke on a regular basis goes in the trashcan real fast. Cut your losses bud.

I was just looking over the ingredients for these caps, and they kind of remind me of the GNC Mega series. One of the issues I have with these invovles the fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K). They really praise the enormous mounts in these caps, but fat sol vitamins are actually toxic in large quatities. If you already maintain a nutrient dense diet, you may be experiencing negative effects from that.

Personally, I never take my vits and mins together, because some counteract the absorption of others.

Also, if you can find Perfect Iron (Iron Oxylate) it is easier on your body...nausea is common with the iron in these caps.

...could just be crap ingredients too, like sofa said.

Thanks.. I truly just need some good multi-vit's I guess then. I don't eat nearly enough, and don't plan on it untill I'm far below my current weight. So I must substitute. I only eat about 1 meal a day, and that meal varies greatly on what it has in it. I do make sure I get plenty of protein, and I take in little to no carbs.

1 meal a day is a good way to lose weight...not fat.

Its really all that I am hungry though. I don't starve myself, I eat when I am truly hungry. For the last week, for some reason, I have zero appitite.

If you feed your body once a day for long enough, it gets hungry once a day. If you fed it 6 times a day, you'd get hungry 6 times a day.

But, the body tells us we are hungry when we need certain things, such as energy or minerals right? If I'm not hungry, why eat?

Eating one meal a day is straight-up-fucking-stupid buddy. C'mon, you know this.

Yes, I am fully aware of this. But, for the time being, I can't help it.

 Why can't you eat more than one meal a day? It better not be some answer like, "I don't have time to cook.", either.

I won't give you any bs answers. When my gf visited this weekend, for some reason my appetite completely disappeared, and I have only been HUNGRY about once a day. This will probably pass, especially since I am starting up training again.

You're probably only hungy once a day because your metabolism is shut down. Anyway, just get back in track. Like you said, you'll probably get more of an appetite once you start training again too.
