Question about a chest injury???????

Hi-

I injured my chest in a rather weird way while lifting. I was doing cable curls with a easy curl bar and I tried to over-ephasize the stretch to my biceps and I seem to have hurt my chest in the process. I know that arching the back and whole rest of it is bad form, but I stupidly did this.

At first it seemed like a muscle pull, but now it's diferent. Say I reach my arms over my head and arch my back is when I really feel the injury. I was wondering if I could have somehow created a hairline fracture of my sternum or something crazy like that. It hurts right in the upper chest area and it seems to be on both sides.

It's almost 2 weeks later and I still can't lift and it seems pretty much the same. Not really painful, but enough to know that it's there and I don't want to worsen it so I have not lifted in the meantime,

Anyone have any ideas as to what this is?

Thanks in advance for any help.

i would take some time off the gym bro, i injured my self on my left shoulder doing chest with the decline bench, i couldn't lift hard and i would hurt like mf i took almost a month off just doing cardio and doing legs after like a month and half i'm back with full force. I suggest to take some time off bro until it heals and if it really bothers you more than two weeks go see a sports doctor. but that's just my opinion. and thank God i was not on cycle.
