I know that it's probably a better idea to use a 1" pin for a quad shot, but how many of you who do quad shots have tried a 1.5" and it went ok?

Re:

Did a 22g x 1.5" last Thursday and a 23g x 1" this Monday in the quad(s). In brief, the 1.5" felt a little better during and immediately post injection, but was more painful than the 1.0" 24 - 48 hours later (shooting Karachi).

In general neither one was bad...as a matter of fact I liked both. I'll be hittin' quads for this entire cycle (and tomorrow AM) and I will stay with the 23g x 1" for every quad injection moving forward (less microtrauma IMO = less soreness).

Later,

Sounds good. Having only ever injected in the glute it's hard for me to even imagine that I have 1.5" of muscle in the quad... silly I know but more of a mental thing since I've never done it.

Anyway until my 1" darts arrive I guess it sounds like 1.5 will be ok in the quad. I am not doing a heavy cycle but am wanting to front load the sus because it sounds like i'll be needlessly waiting for test levels to get up if I don't take a couple extra cc's of sus in the first couple weeks... that's the theory anyway and my ass cheeks are sore now so it's time to try quad!

I have always been an impatient SOB, let's just hope I don't just say f it and go for 750mg/wk when I didn't plan for that at all... (also taking dbol & EQ)

I disagree with Champion and GNJ (not a flame, just a difference of opinion). If you use a 1.5" I would suggest you bury that fucker all the way in. I think you are more apt to introduce needless movement of the pin (less stability) if you only insert it partially. I was going to do the same until I had a discussion with another bro about this topic. Just another opinion FWIW. If I were you I would wait for your 1" pins and continue to hit the glutes until they arrive. Good luck.

Later,

I have only got 29" quads so I use the 1" buried right in, I have used the 2" pins before when I was stuck but only went in 1.25", worked fine, I love quad shots, they are so easy to control...

I use 1.5" pins in my quads most of the time. Sometimes I bury the needle and sometimes I leave a little sticking out. I agree with post above that leaving some of the needle sticking out decreases the stability of the injection so if you aren't going to put it all in then it is better to use a 1" pin. I am just too cheap to get new pins for quads, delts, bis, tris, and glutes so I am using 1.5" on all of them until I run out.

I've used a 23G 1.5" needle on my quads before. Doesn't hurt that much. I can never only go in half way though. I always seem to bury the needle or hesitate and not go in far enough. Now I use a 25G 1" and it goes much nicer...

OMG........

No wonder I get so much pain after a dose. I am using 21G 1.5" pins and here's the crappy part... 1cc unit. With sust 250 that don't leave much room for aspirating. I have to place an order for something else right away! My pins came with the gear so I have to use these for now. So... you guys think 23G 1" is the way I shoud go?

Thanks!

one inch !Do not like not putting all the way in, if you move it a little you could be in a vein. even though you saw bubbles when you pulled back.

I use 22g 1.5" pins for all my injections.Bi's delts quads you name it I have never had any problems. I agree you have a bit more control when you bury the needle but just pay attention and keep your hand steady and you will not have any probs.
