Quad injection.. went bad :(

Well.. i was all thrilled to try this quad shot.. I used 23g 1incher. Marked up the leg and slowly put the needle in.. then OWWWWW... god damn nerve made my leg twitch and i felt some weird rush go through my body I pulled out.. and it bled a little.. I didnt wanna try it again... my leg was feeling funny, so i just stuck it in my butt and off i went.

I've heard ppl say it hurts a few days after if they hit a nerve in the quad.. I on the other hand.. after 20min, I'm fine.. That's normal right?

Is there any way I can do this without hitting those damn nerves? I gotta do it tomorrow again. Gotta love fina

I let my hang down the side of my leg.. and where my fingers dangled.. in that area i shot..
Pretty much the bigger part of the quad.

I've heard to different ways to determine where to shoot.. they both pretty much lead up into the same place. on 2thicks website, i shot about 2 inches lower then what he did. Is that why? I went to low.

I never have done a quad inject but saw 2 thicks site and I can't wait to hit my quads and delts and maybe calf's

you probably just shot too low....try the area shown on 2thicks site.....thats where i shoot and dont have any prob

I'm a big injection wimp, but I started doing quad injections about two weeks ago and I like them a whole lot better than glute sticks. It's much better to be able to see what you are doing and hold the needle steady.

But, I haven't hit a nerve yet. Just lucky, I guess.

yeah....its much nicer being able to inject yourself without having to twist and contort you body

did the same thing last week. stuck a 23g 1" in upper left quad,
no problem...backed plunger out a little,no problem....started to
inject and ...SHIT!...thought i'd been electrocuted!! pulled out and
by the time i'd stuck 2ml in my ass, I had a lump stickin out 3/4"
on my leg and it's still sore as hell. WTF?

My quads, I just put my thumb on the top of my hip bone and where the tip of my middle finger reaches that is where I hit. No problems so far. Well.... one time I did puncture a vien, got a bruise the size of a half-dollar, oh well, it works.

done most of my last cycle of sus in quads and didnt have a problem, hurt like a bitch till i got eq but never a problem.

After awhile you get more used to your own leg, and where the dead spots are. Until then you tend to find a nerve once in awhile, or not quite as bad, it just hurts. Then you find spots where you don't even feel the needle going in. Aaah.

Hi This is where a steady hand comes in your muscle went into spasm as you went through a nerve you will find that in the first 1/2 to 3/4 inch this is where you will encounter that reaction now the trick is to keep on going the deeper you go into the muscle the less reaction spasm you will get, i know from use that it is a weird feeling but give it another try....hope this helps

My third shot ever I hit a lymp node or something. Seconds after I injected I felt like it went behind my knee. It didn't hurt bad, just a dull soreness that lasted three days. I've only hit a nerve once though. Pushed it in and hit it, my quad flexed up. Pushed it in further and same thing. I just injected though, no unusual pain afterwards and no unusual soreness.
