Just wondering why congress doesn't do the same thing we do in the technology industry.

Test laws before they publish them.

Wouldn't be that hard, just run each law through a templated system of quick-n-dirty trial tests.

Ya right.. You want to be the 'test panel'?

And we all know how bug free software is from the great testing they do to eliminate all flaws in the code....

Hahaha! True, bugs abound in nearly all code.

But at least they'd work out some obvious loopholes.

It would be too costly I imagine to actually write sound laws :)

Hey now... as a programmer I can vouch for "blame the user." Many bugs found in well-written programs after the first release are usually attributed to users doing absolutely STUPID shit. It's kind of like saying: "seat belts suck... if you hit a tree at 100mph the seat belt isn't going to do shit." Well damn... you'd have to be a pretty stupid fucker to drive into a tree at 100mph. The belt works fine... just the dumbass using it who needs to be debugged.

They're already doing this in Canada. For example here in my province turning right side on a red light is forbidden. SO they legalized it in some cities for a year in order to see if it would have some benefits. They finally decided that it would be a good idea except for Montreal.
