If Norton's quaranties them you will be ok. It is virtually the same as deleting. Also, run a live update then try again.
There are other ways:
there is a program called moveonboot. This program allows you to delete files while your computer boots (before they get locked by the system - when you are unable to remove them).
Simply, install, right click on the file you want removed, and when your reboot it is gone.
Finally, Microsoft has a Spyware program. Go to the Microsoft Site and look for Anti-SpyWare and it should pop-up someehere. Like the above two, it is free.
i'm running norton, spybot, avg and webroot spy sweeper....am i running too many anti-virus programs? i am told that too many slow down the response time of your system?

Running too many applications will slow your system down. I only run the ones I listed above (and I stopped running Miscrsofts - even though it was the best, because the new version sucks)

RNCH, did you fix it yet?
I just had a problem almost on the same level except I had pmmon.exe and pmsgnr.exe.
Neither norton nor mcafee detected any issue..
For adware the best product to get is adaware.
You can get it from lavasoft or from bleepingcomuter.
I reccomend it.
Also stop looking at porn!

mcafee probly has an internet setting that doesnt allow you to perform certain internet activities. It wont hurt to turn it off and try to log in to those emails, then turn mcafee back on. If that doesnt work try it in another program like Mozilla Firefox.
Although there should be a setting that you can change to allow certain actions, but you would have to be fairly computer saavy.
