Punk Rock

Hey there-just to support bowlingforsoup because he's my boyfriend and I love him and we love the same music. :) Blink182s old stuff is punk. They have turned pop, but there very first CD-Dude Ranch (I think, I pulled that off the top of my head-I hope I am right) is punk. I am not showing anyone up or anything, just throwing out info. :) I love all the bands that were listed too! We are hoping to go to EdgeFest May 17 in Dallas-its got a great list of bands and they will be awesome. Just for fun-a few weeks ago I was at a Bowling For Soup concert front row in the rain-it was awesome (just because I am a girl and it is fun to be cute-I found out I was getting a cat the same day as the concert and my roommate and I named it SOUP in honor of the band). :) Have a great night.

I like The Misfits, The Ramones, Black Flag, NOFX, Bad Religion.

As far as newer stuff, New Found Glory's pretty good. I like that Karate Kid song.

even Green day at one point was punk...not blink 182 or Sum41

Well basically Green Day was decidedly punk once they got their record deal and were concidered sell outs in the Berkely community. They wanted their music to have exposure and their little cliq, didn't. So we could say any music thats made any money whatsoever...is not punk. But basically, yeah you're right. Everything on the radio nowadays is predominately pop punk. So...standstill? Maybe. I do like some of the pop punk though. Basically I like to find new bands that have yet to be discovered and check them out. So yes, I'm a fan of pop punk as well. You caught me. I've been naughty.

Hey bro!

For a twist....try some Infectious Grooves or some Suicidal Tendencies. Not really punk, but I think you'll dig it.

The 1st suicidal (by far their best release) is punk for sure. After that they got more metal.

I never liked Infectious... or that whole funk/metal hybrid that was huge for a couple years (Infectious, 24/7 spyz, Living Color etc...).

TOOZE!! What's up man! I haven't seen you on here in awhile. Actually I can't "see" you at all, but you get what I mean. I've heard Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves. Aren't they both the same band, just mixed members? Could be wrong. There's a group called "Pissing Razors" that sound a lot like Suicidal. Anyway, good hearing from you man! Drop me a pm when you get the chance.

Whatta you play Oak? I play guitar myself, although I've slacked off quite a bit. Life has the tendency to get in the way of enjoyment lately :(
