Pumkin Wine

It is coming up on Halloween and I want to make some Pumpkin wine this year. I had this before where they put the spigit right in the pumpkin and for the wine.

Has anyone ever tried to make this? Here is the recipe I found from the internets.

1 - 25 to 30 lb pumpkin cleaned out
5 lbs sugar
1 pkg yeast

Pour sugar and yeast in cleaned out pumpkin, fill with water and seal the lid back on with wax. Wait 1 to 2 weeks and then filter wine into serving container.

Anyone ever tried making their own fruit wine?

Home brewed wine is white trash as fuck do this.Make pumpkin infused Vodka go get a half gallon of a premium vodka(I reccomend goose or chopin not just because its good vodka but you can use the bottle for a nice presentation)Dice up the pumpkin into chunks small enough to fit into the hole after removing some vodka.Add some spice that complimnents the pumpkin (nut meg and cinn maybe) add some sugar for a start and than let it sit in the refrigerator for 10 days or so to ferment.I like mine with melons.

Yeah the Hungarians used to have this fruit drink called Palinka. It was like a schnopps. The country version was less refined and had the fruit in it - like cherries or apricots. Loved that shit - same recipe. Ok - I will try and make some Pumpkin Polinka and let you know how it turns out.
