Pulled my damn hamstring

DONT PUSH IT !! RELAX

sorry about the caps but it is neccissary. Rest for atleast two weeks, then come back slow with long stretching periods. trust me, i did it once and kept pushing, was weeak for 3 months before it fully healed on me.

unless you make your living with your Hammy rest up fully! Fucking hammies are a bitch!

But it's bad Karma when you change your name to a Former Artist! Watch out your groin could be next Purple Rain! Scratch that Little Red Corvette is better!

I did this last year. Rest up, bro... it is bad.

Thanks for the good advice everyone. This makes at least the 10th time that I've pulled my hamstring. I've pulled my groin several times also. I guess once you pull it, you're always susceptible to future pulls.

Ive been pulling my groin for years without any problems, I guess Im just used to it.

Been there man.

It took me a year to fully recover.

LOL at the way you did it...
With me it's usually something similar with the kids in the Pool..
Heat heat and more heat...

You see "Gonelifting" I've already got that handle.

And the son-of-a-bitch is still not fully healed.

;MAO OK OK but that`s not a symbol bro. I`ll post up my symbol tomorrow. I need to get my 4 hours of sleep now.

when it happened to me I couldnt walk right for a week but 3 days later I saw big improvements, and played on it while it was still sore which actually seemed to help it.

weird

Hmmm... the number one cause of pulled hamstrings in atheletes is a strenght inbalance between quads and hams. You need to work on your hams or you will continue to pull them.

BTW if you are on cycle it will heal almsot instantly. I've pulled muscles while on gear and within a few days they are fine, including hams.

Brother, I'm 39 and I've pulled just about every damn muscle in my body but I'll never say die. I've pulled that hamstring so many damn times, it just takes longer to heal now. I work my hams all the time and I'm on all the time. Your information is generally correct however.

BTW, I saw your thread about "eating Pus**" on Between the SHeets. You've been doing your homework. lol

Hmmmm... still there has to be something that can be done about it. You might wish to go on a strength training program that focuses on yoru hams more than quads for about 6 weeks and see if that helps. You could be hitting them alot, however, if your quads are just genetically more predisposed to development faster, they will just tend to grow at faster rate, especially if you are on all the tiem. It makes the risk high of pulling them while doing such things as playing frisbe. I would give this idea a try, just to make certain.

I incurred my worst injury in December when I ripped my left pec. It's beginning to heal slowly. But, yes, several injuries that I've obtained thru the years are still with me, just waiting to be provoked. I have to be very careful when I work out, make sure that I warm up thouroughly and know when to back off.

Playing freezetag with my daughter and her friends. The stopping and starting did it. I'm so pissed right now.

Did it turn black and blue?
Did you FEEL it pop?

When I torn mine...I dropped to the ground immediately. 10 days later I tried to box squat my body weight...and was stuck at the bottom for nearly 5 minutes. Mine was black and blue.

BBF: The ONLY thing that will cause an injury like a pulled/torn hamstring to heal QUICK...is HGH and that is still no guaranted on ANY time frame. I've seen a few hamstring tears from good friends around me...and if it is REALLY torn...AAS will NOT fix it fast.
