Puc- Cannabutter recipe.

This is the way I've done it. This is going on memory but you should get the picture.. Recipes vary and all work. I'm giving an example of cooking with a small amount (1/8). If you want to make more just double up all ingredients. (1/4 oz.)

Ingredients:
1/8 of good bud. (3.5 grams. If it's commercial bud I'd imagine you should use a quarter oz/7 grams. I'm not sure though.)
1/2 a stick of butter.
Water.


Utensils:
Spoon or something else to stir with.
Stove
Cheesecloth
Funnel
Large bowl.
Pot. (cooking pot that is)


Steps:

1) De-stem/seed ganja. Break it down as much as possible. The more it's broken down the better the cell walls of the leaves will emit THC. A coffee grinder works great if you have one.

2) Fill the cooking pot up with about 2 in. of water. Boil on high heat until you're at a rolling boil.

3) Add the 1/2 stick of butter into the water. Reduce heat to medium high. The butter will soon separate throughout the water.

4)Once the butter is all dissolved, (for lack of a better word, butter isn't soluble in water) place the cannabis in the boiling water/butter.

5) Stir every few minutes for 30-45 minutes (i'd go 45 but some are impatient) At this point the thc is being released from the cell walls of the leaves and being 'trapped' in the butter.

6) Take the pot off the stove.


7) Strain everything that was in the boiling pot into a large bowl. You do this with the cheesecloth (lay on top of bowl and wrap a rubber band around the bowl so it doesn't fall in).

8) Remove the cheesecloth. (cheesecloth should contain leaves of pot, throw these away after squeezing all the juice out into the mixture) Now you should have the water, THC, and butter in the bowl. Place it in the refrigerator for a few hours.

9) After a couple of hours the butter will be solidified on top of the water. The butter will have a green color to it and look gross but thats from the cannaboids. Scoop it out and put it in tupperware or a jar, whichever.

10) Now you have cannabutter. You can spread it on toast, cook with it, eat it plain, anything you'd do with normal butter.



Some people would rather just sautee the butter and cannabis but that could burn pending on the heat. This method extracts all the cannaboids and is idiot proof.

How much you should eat to get high is a trial and error process. Don't be fooled, a small amount will get you high. Really, really high. I could do the math but I don't have a stick of butter to see how much is in a half a stick.

So there it is. Since I outlined 10 steps I'll call it....

keep in mind once you add the pot to the water an incriminating smell will be looming so don't do it if you'll have guests over that day.
