I watch that show on tv, and it could make a believer out of any skeptic- these psychics that work with police and after a few minutes on the phone or holding a photograph tell the cops exactly where to look to find the body...

but how come none of them have found natalie holloway, or that jon benet ramsey kid?

there are forces within the psychic world that are in constant equilibrium, not all cases can be solved.

so the ones that make the news can't be solved that way, but the ones we never heard of, can?

This is one of the most disappointing threads ever.

Read a book a few years back, "Whoever Fights Monsters," by Robert K. Ressler the FBI guy who developed the profiling system on violent criminals. During the course of the book they use the services of a psychic named Noreen Reiner to help them in their investigations. She does manage to locate bodies and tip the police off but with mixed success. Well worth a read if you get a chance.
I know psychics have been researched extensively by the government as to their uses within the FBI and other government agencies. Not often you hear about them in the news although I could understand the FBI or any other agency not wanting to own up to using a glorified fortune teller as their main investigatory tool.

i have a few books on criminal profiling... i'll look to see if i have that one. i find that topic fascinating.
and yeah- see, this was my point- i know psychics have helped cases- whether you believe in them or not, they have helped and i understand why FBI wouldn't want to admit using them, but you NEVER hear about them helping to solve important cases. and the big cases, like natalie hollaway- surely all the renowned psychics have heard of it, yet not one has provided help to find the body?
