Thinking of buying a new game for my PS2 any suggestions. here's what I have so far.

NHL 2001
NBA 2002
NFL 2001
GTA 3
Bond
ONI

I've heard good things about final fantacy 10. where do you buy your games. I usually get my from the local cash converters, but their selection is slim and old

You can find them online too. Just make sure you have the book for ff10 or it'll be really confusing. I'll warn you that it's quite plotty though.

How's the game play though?

It's fun. Have you played other FF's before?? You get to control the summons in this one and I like the way they fight in general. I really enjoyed it. I love doing all of the little things on those games though and dragging them out to 100 hours or so instead of rushing through.

I have Metal of Honor Frontline, which is OK (controls suck) not much dfferent from the others in the Series..
Grand Turismo 3 is cheap now, worth the buy...
If you like shooting,I like Time Crisis2, but you have to buy a gun to play it....

Here's a few of my suggestions: Devil May Cry-best action game on ps2, with kickass sword/gunplay.
Metal Gear Solid 2-if you played the first one on psx, this one is like that on gear, (no pun intended)
Final Fantasy X-I agree with Raina, as this is probably the best rpg on any new system; you have to be willing to put some serious time into to get the most out of it. Very pretty game.

You can usually find these on ebay in mint/sealed condition for under $30.

if you haven't played gta3 yet, then don't even think about it, go buy it. trust me. Truly the Best game ever in my opinion.

Drakan is pretty cool if you like swords and sorcery stuff.

Silent Hill 2 is another good ps2 game.

Madden 2002, NFL 2k3 both come out on Aug 13th.


Freeksyle is cool.


Kingdom Hearts comes out soon for PS2, it is a Square game (Final Fantasy style RPG) mixed with Disney chars (pretty much all of them).. Besides Madden, that may be my next buy for the ps2.

gt3 is a sweet game if you like cars. I wouldn't buy Metal Gear solid because its pretty short, but its an awesome game too, so rent that. I played FIFA 2002 at a buddy's house, sick game. I've heard nothing but good about GTA3 and I'm gonna buy it when it drops in price a bit.... hrmm... Theres some new army game out, like Soldier of Fortune... that's supposed to be good too. Oh and Twisted Metal:Black! I've always been a fan of those games! PS2 doesn't have much multiplayer, so I get what I can.

Try the 2002 version of nhl its better than 2001. Stuntman pretty cool. gta3 my favorite. Ncaa 2003 college fball is great and madden 2003 will be out the 13. Try ebgames.com and also check out videogames.com for game reviews and previews.

I think i'll just wait a couple of months for NHL 2003.
