PR's and yo' joints.............

I am almost convinced that joints may determine a persons max lift after considerable training. I always peak in a few weeks and then NOTHING makes a difference.

My most vigorous workout for 3 months was getting off, (which does involve some failrly heavy lifting), and I have almost equaled my PR's in 3 lousy weeks.

Been down this road a dozen times.

What kind of brain power are you sportin' there bor? I am thinking a 'lil bit more than my cat. Not much though.
im totally frickin bored bor, just tryin to ruffle some feathers.:p

I'm thinking that you are doing something wrong in your training.

I always deal with some kind of pains when I am getting ready for a contest...but I am constantly working with very heavy objects, running, moving, and the such. In the gym...is a different story.

I'd like to see your workouts and what you are doing for injury prevention.

There once was a guy who was CRUSHED (literall) from a Squat and came back a few years later to squat near 900.

If the will is actually there...it is possible.

I have two challenging businesses that are somewhat more important new pr's.

I envy the younger guys who can totally focus on pr's though.

But you are probably right.

Injury prevention? I start off light, use good form, and do a little stretching. Usually. :)

You could probably do a lot more for injury prevention. You can't push the gaskets unless you are taking GOOD care of the machine.

What else do I need to do for injury prevention? I've had a few of those injuries though nothing serious to date. Well.........my shoulders are a little noisy.

If you get the chance...read the thread on the Training Forum, sticky, about Active Recovery work. Most of those exercises are made for what we call pre-hab.
