Here's a funny question. I heard somewhere along the way, protein pre-mixed for more than a few hours loses it's potency in amino acids. I totally realize that they sell muscle milk across the whole country, which is mixed x amount of time before being distributed.
But has anyone heard anything like this before?
 
Good question! "The Protein Book" says that leaving protein in water too long will disrupt the amino acid structure, however, this won't prevent the amino acids from being effective and helping you build muscle.
 
If your goal is to build muscle, burn fat, or train like an athlete, you should aim to consume roughly your body-weight in grams of protein daily to cover all your bases. Since this isn’t an exact science, going a little over or a little under shouldn’t be detrimental to your results or health.
