I have been taking EAS's Simply Whey Protein since April. It has helped me a great deal and I like the taste also. However, I have been trying to bulk lately and been reading how fast Whey is absorbed into the system.
Here is a typical day for me..
==============================================
7:30AM
Egg (2 whole + 6 Egg White)
Oatmeal (1 Cup) + 1/8 cup of Rasin
10:30AM
Two slices of Whole Wheat Bread
2 servings of Whey (40g)
12:00PM
Tuna Sandwhich
Walnuts (1/4 cup) + Rasins (1/8 cup)
3:00PM
Oatmeal (1Cup) + 2 servings of Whey (40g)
or
2 cups of cottage cheese w/ blueberries
5:00PM
WORKOUT
7:00PM
Post Workout
1/3 cup of dextrose + 2 servings of Whey (40g)
8:00PM
1/2 cup of uncooked Brown rice
8oz chicken breast
Before Bed
1 cup of cottage cheese
==============================================
The above is a typical daily diet for me. And as you can see, I rely quite heavily on Whey Protein while I am at work. I find it quite easy to prepare and I don't have to spend any time mixing it at all.
However, I am looking for alternatives to whey that will provide me w/ slower protein release during the day. I kinda don't want to pay a fortune for it either. Currently, I am paying 25 bucks for a 5 lb tub of EAS Simply Whey.
Please feel free to comment on the above diet. I am open to suggestion and criticism.
