Protein intake

So I start my day with VPX meltdown and hit the gym within 30min and lift for an hour or so how every it takes to do my routine then I do cardio usually a 15-20min high intensity run and finish with abs some times i throw the abs before running. My question is when should i be taking protein as of now i have some 25g protein shots and i take one after running basicly after im done in the gym and then a 20g shake of vpx zero carb protein in the evning. Should i take the shot between lifting and running? what would u guys recomend?
