Protein absorbsion rates

Anyone know of any comparisons of different types of proteins in terms of the rate that they can be absorbed.

I thought there may be something analogous to Glycemic Index.

Thanks in advance

Protein absorbsion speed

Thanks for the responces guys !

I wasn't refering to the total proportion of the protein that you would absorb, per se, but the speed to which it can be absorbed at.

Apparently whey protein is absorbed quickly, whereas casein is relatively slow.

What I was looking for was some sort of rankings, similar to the Glycemic Index for carbohydrates.

I was hoping to do some work on pairing carbs and protein in order to maximise protein uptake from my insulin spikes.

If anyone knows of something that may be relevant, or pointers, please let me have 'em.

Thanks,

Da Shifter
