Question , what are symptoms of an enlarged prostate?

Also what is used for shrinking it?

this is just out of curousness.

you will feel pressure when you take a shit and it may be sore; having trouble going or stopping your urine flow; odd minor "ejaculation" upon crapping or all by itself. it's really more of a slight oozing of seminal fluid. at 19 i had prostate problems. very unusual. just go see the doctor about it.

oh, and i must warn you that you will get a hand up your ass, literally.

decrease in pressure of urine stream; times u feel like u cant control it even though u just went; increased frequency.

easy exam by the doc to check

hot poker up you butt--gotta love getting old and a a/a/s cycles....i found that saw palmetto helps, but propecia/proscar or duta is the real help.

A weak stream of urine when stopping and starting of the stream,Difficulty starting urination,Dribbling of urine, especially after urinating ,A sense of not emptying the bladder ,Leaking of urine, burning with urination and a discharge from the penis, blood in the urine, and a more frequent urination and a strong and sudden desire to urinate, especially at night.
For many men symptoms can lessen without treatment. On the other hand, medications should be started early for moderate symptoms.most situations depend on how bothersome the symptoms are to the individual.many of these conditions are not infections but simply muscle spasms involving the prostate and surrounding tissue. This is a condition called prostatosis or prostadynia. Treatment for this includes muscle relaxants and warm baths. If your prostate is enlarged, you should avoid such bladder irritants as caffeine, alcohol, and spicy food. Limit fluids in the evening to decrease the need to urinate during the night. Then of course there is always the medication treatment or surgery if it is a severe case.
