LOS ANGELES -- A man accused of using a baseball bat to fatally strike a mentally disabled man who was walking to a neighborhood store was under arrest Thursday, police said.

A security camera showed a man walking up behind James McKinney, 41, and hitting him in the head with an aluminum baseball bat, then walking away as McKinney fell to the ground.

The attack happened about 8:45 p.m. May 29 at Wilton Place and Olympic Boulevard.

McKinney was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died five days later of massive head injuries.

I saw something similar once on a college campus. This little (about 130lb. guy) was walking holding a typewriter and there was an area where all the black kids would hang out. One of the black guys ran up to him and hit him for NOTHING while the kid's hands were full. It knocked the kid out and the whole crowd started cheering for the guy who hit him.

It was DISGUSTING! I just called 911 because I was afraid to get out of my car to help the kid. I was seriously afraid that they may kill me.

so, the campus made a rule that no one was allowed to loiter in that area and the black students protested and said that the school was racist because the white kids hung out in the square in the middle of campus between classes.

It was a mess.

I saw it on the news yesterday. The guy was caught at a later date. A man who travels that route everyday and viewed the tape on TV, saw someone who looked like the suspect. He was carrying a baseball bat! lol wtf? Does this guy walk around with a freaking bat all the time?! Anyway, the witness followed the suspect home and called police after he saw where he lived. That's how they arrested him.

Had he not done that, this guy would still be walking around.... with a bat. wtf? He would have probably done it again. damn...
