Promise to myself

Someone once told me that in order to accomplish my goals, I must write them down. Well, aside from accomplishing my physical goals, I have set some life goals because I have become sick and tired of my situation.

I am a 22 year old college drop-out who is overqualified and underpaid for the shitty jobs I have held. I'm no longer welcome in my parents house and I've been working since I was 15 and have NOTHING to show for.

In two years I want all 3 of the following:

Enrollment in college
My own apartment
A car to be proud of

Wish me luck, peeps. I'm going to work my ass off till i get it. I've already started by taking on a job with decent pay and unlimited overtime.

Good Luck Boach. I would like those three also, except I'd like my AA in two years.

I wouldn't mind a hot girlfriend with bit tits and a love of oral sex either.

Good luck to you, I'm 23 and I'm also at crossroads now, I want to get stuff accomplished, time is flying by, and I'm tired of pissing my life away. Be focused, and don't let trivial bullshit, keep you away from your goals.

As long as you have your sites set;
I think you will accomplish these goals..

Good Luck

Good for you! Good luck to you on accomplishing your goals! Focus your energies and ask for guidence and help from above and you'll achieve more than you ever dreamed you could!

Thanks for your encouragement, folks. I may not visit enough, but you all mean a lot to me. Definitely helps pass the time by.

CW, I left college because I was working and earning money to pay tuition plus a steady girlfriend. It was all too much and I chose to stay with the job and the girl--two very bad decisions.

I like writing down my goals too. I write them on papers that I call "hopeless dreams". Every week or so I get enough to bundle up and burn because I know I'll never be much more than a pathetic lonely loser :(.

go for it boach, im not gunna bullshit ya, its gunna be hard you gotta be determined to do them and then go for it and learn to make the sacrifices in order to accomplish your goals if they are really what you want.

And if theres one thing you remeber remeber this
just don't burn out.....

Ok. Right now I am in a good paying office job, but the work is very stressful. I want to secure a job in a national park, and I want to not care that I have to sell a bunch of my "nice" stuff. I want to appreciate life for what it is a dnot spend my life doing a job that I hate 40 hrs a week.

Career wise i'm happy with where i'm at.

Socially i'm happy with things. My next key goal is to start a family soon. At 29 i've enjoyed the independence i've had up until now, played around and partied like an animal, but i would like to think that i will be married and on my way to starting a family by 35.

If not, then i'll continue to party till i'm 70:D

Either way, as long as i'm healthy, everything else is a bonus.

Anyone else wanna share their goals?

19 Here...

Lifting Wise...

I'd like to drop some BF
I'd like to get Bench to 405, Squat to 500, and Dead to 600 by Next Summer

Life Goals...

Do well enough @ School to get a Scholarship.
Get a Nice Car.
Sleep with lots of hot sluts.

You'll do fine Boach, what school did you go to. What happend with you the girl and work sounds like the life stories of some of my friends. The difference is that you are actually making an attempt to fix things.. Because of this you will succeed.

i wouldnt get so obessed over worthless shit like a job and a car. your physique shold be number one, everything else second. i havent ate anything other than tuna, flax, or oatmeal for almost a month now and i am still pimping ho's 21.4.

Hey motherfucker, remember about a year or so ago, you posted that one thread. It was awesome....

these motherfuckers might not know what i'm talking about but YOU know.

25 here man, and i still dont' know what the hell i wanna do when i grow up. I did complete college and am earning my Masters but that doesn't mean shit...i'm at a crossroads. I think being at that point means that you are carefully eyeing your future, trying to make the most of your options...it's not necessarily a bad thing...at least, that's what i tell myself...but do get back in school bro!!!

I'm a good enough looking guy not to have to worry about my body right now. You can be the biggest mofo in town and still feel like a chode if you come to pick up a cute girl in a hooptie with 9 dollars in your wallet. I just want to be able to provide for myself.

How can someone expect to find a girl if they can't even take care of themselves.

My goals:
Stop working at my normal job within two years, be making 100K+ within four, retire in five.

I'm dead serious, and I know it'll happen.

Oh, and somewhere inbetween to hit 8%bf and bench 315 lbs, gear free. :D

Boach, ever think about running your own business?

I am beginning to think that my dreams are just pipe dreams....who knows.

I posted mine on the training board...

http://boards.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=154715

2-3 weeks: Have my new routine planned out for Nationals (October 5th). All injuries healed.

6-8 weeks: Weigh 275-282, be working on my cardio and endurance events. Get a 500-600 pound earth mover tire to work on speed and technique only. Strengthen my abs, hips, neck and calves. Break down my technique on every core exercise and event and improve it with lighter weights. Increase total body flexibility.

2-3 months: Spend August 11th through October 5th hitting my events hard. Weigh 280-285. Cardio (light) 3x per weeks. Hit all events on Sunday's and the ones I have the most problems with again on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Strengthen my triceps, overhead press, quads, calves, and sprinting endurance.

October 5th: North America's Strongest Man contest. Weigh 287-293. Win the 300 pound weight class. Place top 3 in the Overall.

3-6 months: Strengthen my entire body, bringing up all of my core lifts and major event weights. Preparing to compete in 2 pro contest in 2003 and try to qualify for the Pro Nationals July 2003.

1 Year: Qualify for the Pro Nationals. Weigh 295-300. Log Press 345 for a single. Bench Press 485 raw, squat 700 raw, deadlift 700 raw.

3-5 Years: Be a top 10 ranked pro and qualify for the World's Strongest Man contest. Weigh 300-320.

tough times dont last, tough people do. way to take charge bro, we're all behind ya.

my goal for this next year...."try to enjoy life more outside BB".

it also good to have someone close to you kick you in the ass sometimes when your slacking, and not on the right path for obtaining your goals. My girlfriend is awsome at this, and I do the same for her.
